A White Sox spokesperson described the bottles as plastic and "travel-sized." DeJong said during the White Sox TV broadcast that they were "flying full bottles of liquor." He said a kid in the front row was hit in the head and had to leave.
White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn mentioned hearing about a kid being hit during the incident, saying he saw a shot glass near him after hearing a loud thud.
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol commended the security's response, mentioning one bottle landed close to him and fans. He highlighted the swift action taken by security.
