Right-hander Mike Clevinger finalized a one-year $3 million contract with the White Sox, recently optioned to the Arizona Complex League.
José Rodríguez was designated for assignment to create room for Clevinger, a pitcher with a 3.77 ERA and 9-9 record in the previous season.
