I'm super excited to get this opportunity to play professional baseball... been a Tigers family being in Michigan... been to a few White Sox games (in Detroit). It's definitely pretty cool. I'm just looking forward to getting ready to go.
It was obviously a very exciting night... almost to a person they mentioned the fact that they were watching the draft and were excited to see when he got drafted. It was a big deal for the community.
I'm just super excited for Caleb. He has worked extremely hard to get to this point... I know he's going to give 100% whatever route he decides to take.
If that's the case, White Sox director of amateur scouting Mike Shirley said the organization would like to keep Bonemer at shortstop, which is where he starred for Okemos while being a two-time Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year...
