Minor Lines 4/15: Vaughn Grissom collects four hits
Briefly

The WooSox faced the Red Wings and secured a decisive victory bolstered by significant performances from their hitters, particularly Abraham Toro and Vaughn Grissom. Pitcher Drohan excelled with a solid outing, keeping his ERA low while the offense led by Roman Anthony showed on-base prowess despite leaving many runners stranded. In Hartford, Lucas Giolito’s rehab outing raised concerns with a lackluster performance. Overall, the performances of these players highlight the impressive depth and potential of the Red Sox organization amidst ongoing discussions about promotions within their infield structure.
Drohan gave up one hit, a home run to Trey Lipscomb in the second inning. Besides that, he experienced smooth skies across his five innings, striking out seven and keeping his ERA in Worcester to just over one to start the season.
Offensively, Abraham Toro collected two extra base hits including a triple. Roman Anthony reached base five times including three walks in that leadoff spot. Vaughn Grissom compiled four hits and drove three runs to the plate.
It was an eventful night in Hartford, CT as Lucas Giolito rehabbed against the Yard Goats in what may be one of his final appearances before making his Red Sox debut.
Unfortunately, Giolito’s performance was less than stellar, allowing three earned runs off three walks and five hits in just two innings. It took him sixty pitches.
