Luis Aparicio, at 90, is now the oldest living Hall of Fame member and the sole surviving member of the 1959 White Sox World Series team, after Willie Mays' recent demise.
Aparicio, a Venezuelan, joined the White Sox at 22, alongside Nellie Fox, forming a robust infield. He stole 56 bases in 1959, crucial to the Sox's AL championship.
1959's World Series saw the White Sox take the first 13 runs in game one, leading 11-0. Despite early victories, the Dodgers rallied back to eventually win the Series.
