Former San Angelo Central Star Martin to Begin Rehab Assignment

Chicago White Sox pitcher Davis Martin is starting an injury rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte after dealing with forearm soreness since June 20. Martin, a standout pitcher from San Angelo Central High School, has had his best season yet with a 3.79 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, accumulating 53 strikeouts and 19 walks over 80.2 innings in his third season. He has not pitched since June 12 against the Houston Astros and is anticipated to return to the White Sox after the All-Star break following two rehab outings.

Martin hasn't pitched since June 12 against the Houston Astros and is expected to rejoin the White Sox after the All-Star break next week.
After planned outings Wednesday and Sunday for Charlotte, Martin is scheduled to return to the White Sox following his rehab.
