Nastrini will get the start Monday night against the Kansas City Royals. The 24-year-old righty was with the White Sox during Spring Training, competing for a rotation spot.
Nastrini was acquired from the Dodgers in 2023. He has put up strong numbers in the minors, despite some struggles at the beginning of the 2024 season.
"Debuts are debuts, we'll see what happens," said manager Pedro Grifol. "But he's got good stuff. He's got presence. He's not scared, and he's going to compete his ass off."
