Nico Hoerner achieved National League Player of the Week honors, going 9-for-26 with two homers, 11 RBI, and two steals. He is slashing .325/.402/.518. Hoerner is the first Cub to earn this honor since Seiya Suzuki in September 2022. Mason McGwire, son of Mark McGwire, was named Minor League Pitcher of the Week with a 0.90 ERA in four starts. He has struck out 15 batters and allowed only one hit in each appearance, showing potential for advancement in the Cubs organization.
