During a baseball game at PNC Park, a fan fell from the 21-foot-high Clemente Wall shortly after a pivotal play. Medical teams responded promptly, and the fan was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Both team managers noted the seriousness of the incident, emphasizing the concerning nature of witnessing someone fall and lay motionless. Players from the Pirates and Cubs were visibly affected, with Andrew McCutchen expressing heartfelt thoughts towards the injured fan, highlighting the sense of community and empathy in the wake of such an unfortunate event.
Even though it's 350 feet away or whatever it is, I mean the fact of how it went down and then laying motionless while the play is going on, I mean Craig saw it, I saw it. We both got out there. I think the umpires saw it because of the way it kicked. It's extremely unfortunate. That's an understatement.
Truly hate what happened tonight. Cant help but think about that guy, his family and friends. I pray tonight for him. Let us think about his loved ones and hug our families a little tighter tonight.
