Chicago Cubs Lineup: Ballesteros Gets His Turn - Bleacher Nation
"Although they're still in sole possession of first place, the Cubs aren't in a great place at the moment, vibe wise. And that was made worse when they lost the most winnable game of the series last night at Wrigley Field. Now, they have to beat a scorching-hot Jacob Misiorowski, who has struck out 80 batters in nine starts. And they'll do it with Ben Brown still on a pitch count. Woof."
"Here's a look at the Cubs lineup for Game 2 against the Brewers at Wrigley Field. Chicago Cubs Lineup: Nico Hoerner, 2B Michael Busch, 1B Alex Bregman, 3B Ian Happ, LF Seiya Suzuki, RF Moises Ballesteros, DH Dansby Swanson, SS Pete Crow-Armstrong, CF Miguel Amaya, C"
"Well, there's not much going on in the Cubs lineup tonight, outside of a swap out of the catchers behind the plate (Amaya in, Carson Kelly out) and Moises Ballesteros getting another start at DH. We all know it's been slow going for Ballesteros lately, both in terms of production and actual chances to play, but tonight's start against Misiorowski isn't exactly an ideal opportunity to get things going again. I do like his approach better against this velocity than Conforto, though, I think? That had to be part of the decision here."
"Ben Brown could not have gotten off to a better start this season, first as a reliever and more recently as a starter. He's made only two starts so far, both shortened by a pitch count, but he's been incredibly efficient and successful nonetheless. I wrote about it previously, which I'll share here, because it came after his most recent stuff and all still applies."
The Cubs remain in first place but are struggling in momentum after losing a winnable game at Wrigley Field. They must win Game 2 against the Brewers while facing Jacob Misiorowski, who has struck out 80 batters in nine starts. Chicago will do so with Ben Brown still limited by a pitch count. The lineup includes Nico Hoerner at second, Michael Busch at first, Alex Bregman at third, Ian Happ in left, Seiya Suzuki in right, Moises Ballesteros as the designated hitter, Dansby Swanson at shortstop, Pete Crow-Armstrong in center, and Miguel Amaya catching. The main changes are Amaya replacing Carson Kelly and Ballesteros receiving another start at DH.
