A woman died after she was hit by a car in North Lawndale Sunday night, Chicago police said.She was crossing the street at a crosswalk in the 1200 block of South Independence Boulevard just before 11 p.m. when a gray-colored SUV struck her, according to police.The car was reported by police to be driving at a high rate of speed.
