The Chicago White Sox activated outfielder Andrew Benintendi from the 10-day injured list due to left Achilles tendinitis. He made rehab appearances before being activated.
Benintendi, 29, struggled this season batting .194 with four homers and 18 RBIs. He entered the game against the Seattle Mariners but struck out.
Reliever Steven Wilson was also activated from the IL by the White Sox. Rookie Duke Ellis was sent to Triple-A, and Tim Hill was designated for assignment.
