Aaron Steingold hopes he can recreate those memories for a new generation of baseball fans on Chicago's North Side when he opens a new location of Steingold's of Chicago across the street from Wrigley Field.
Steingold says he's remodeling the former home of West Town Bakery inside the Hotel Zachary and hopes to launch by Opening Day 2024.
The deli will serve hotel guests Steingold's classic sandwiches, bagels, pastrami, turkey, and chicken shawarma. There are also a few new items like everything-bagel dogs on a stick, latke-tot poutine, and corned beef grilled cheese.
