"The derailment was comparatively minor," the CTA said.
"On Metra, at least two trains had been delayed due to the weather Monday morning. Seven additional trains were running late due to switch issues, crew shortages, emergency track repairs and a mechanical failure. It was unclear if these issues were also weather-related."
