The United States features many of the tallest buildings globally, primarily in New York and Chicago. These two cities account for 14 of the top 20 tallest buildings. One World Trade Center has been the tallest since 2014, while a new skyscraper opened in 2025 ranks among the top 10. The ranking excludes detachable equipment from height measurements.
