Fast-moving snowfall blanketed Naperville in at least 5.5 inches by early Friday morning, causing school, city and facility closures to mount ahead of more inclement weather expected through the day.
Naperville could see a break in consistent snowfall as temperatures rise into the late morning and afternoon, Petr said, but warned against travel until roads are cleared.
