The Guardians have officially signed left-hander Matthew Boyd to a Major League deal. Boyd is continuing his recovery from Tommy John surgery and has been placed on the 15-day injured list as part of the corresponding move.
Right-hander was activated from the 15-day IL. At the same time, righty Darren McCaughan was optioned to Triple-A while another righty was designated for assignment.
