Crust Tap Room is set to revamp the former Leader Bar space at 3000 W. Irving Park Road, transitioning it into a pizza pub by the owners of Crust Brewing from Rosemont. The new establishment will feature a selection of beer and food similar to those offered at their original location. While maintaining the historical dive bar aesthetic, the renovated venue will introduce tavern-style pizza, emphasizing the brewery's unique lagers, particularly their Vienna amber lager, Dough Roller, which will serve as the basis for the pizza dough.
Crust Tap Room will take over the former Leader Bar at 3000 W. Irving Park Road, bringing a unique pizza pub experience influenced by Crust Brewing's distinct lagers.
Ownership announced that the business would remain closed through March while minor renovations occurred, with plans to offer half of the beer and food offerings from Rosemont.
