Manchester United's squad at the end of their 2023 financial year cost 1.42bn euros in transfer fees, making it the most expensive squad ever assembled in football.
While Manchester United topped the list, three other squads - Manchester City, Chelsea, and Real Madrid - also cost more than 1bn pounds in transfer fees.
