16-year-old Lily Yohannes scored in her US debut, becoming the eighth-youngest player for the national team. She described it as a 'dream come true.'
"She doesn't look like a 16-year-old," manager Emma Hayes said. "She's a player I've admired - even as the Chelsea manager."
"We were clowning out there with her and were like, 'Yo, that was the smoothest first goal I've ever seen,'" Crystal Dunn said about Lily Yohannes.
Manager Emma Hayes led the US team to victory in a friendly against South Korea. The team has upcoming friendlies before the Paris 2024 Olympics.
