Lazio has ended its relationship with falconer Juan Bernabe after he posted inappropriate images on social media, leading to fan disappointment over the absence of mascot Olympia.
The club stated, 'The club is aware of the pain the absence of the eagle will cause the fans but it has become impossible to associate our historical symbol with such [an] individual.'
Juan Bernabe, who flew the eagle Olympia, faced previous suspension in 2021 for expressing support for Mussolini, raising concerns about his association with the club.
Olympia has been a cherished symbol for fans since 2010, making his departure significant as it affects the pre-game tradition at the stadium.
