Thomas Tuchel has taken the reins as England's national team manager, aiming to guide the Three Lions to a strong performance in the 2026 World Cup. Unlike previous manager Gareth Southgate, who faced scrutiny for near-misses in tournaments, Tuchel's expertise in in-game management is highlighted as a potential game-changer. Joe Cole believes that Tuchel's tactical adaptability can provide England with a competitive edge, and he is expected to build upon Southgate's groundwork rather than overhaul the existing strategies.

Cole also thinks that Tuchel will not look to reinvent England and will instead look to build on the work of his predecessor.
