England's James signs new contract with Chelsea
"I'm really happy and over the moon to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. It's been my club since I was young. I can't wait to make more memories, hopefully have more success and win more trophies with this amazing club."
"Lauren is one of the most technically gifted players this country has produced, and she is Chelsea through and through. Everyone connected to the club is extremely proud of everything she has achieved in blue and we're looking forward to the next chapter of her journey."
England forward Lauren James has committed to Chelsea until 2030 by signing a new contract extension. The 24-year-old, who began her youth career at the club and returned in 2021 from Manchester United, has become a key player despite injuries. James has scored 31 goals across 105 appearances for the Blues. She was instrumental in Chelsea's unbeaten domestic treble last season and has won four consecutive Women's Super League titles, three FA Cups, and earned individual honors including club player of the season and PFA Young Player of the Year. James made her Lionesses debut in 2022 and helped England defend their European championship. Her contract extension was announced alongside her brother Reece's six-year deal with the men's team.
