England confirm withdrawal of three stars ahead of Nations League fixtures
Briefly

England has confirmed that Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, and Ollie Watkins withdrawn from the squad for the September international break due to various fitness concerns.
Foden was a known doubt heading into the Nations League fixtures, having missed Manchester City's last two games due to illness, and was formally removed from the squad.
Both Palmer and Watkins were also sent back to their clubs to continue rehabilitation; neither of them is believed to have suffered further injuries.
Unai Emery noted that Watkins had a small injury coming into training and required more rest due to a demanding summer with England.
