Chelsea FC has announced the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Femke Liefting from AZ Alkmaar on a three-and-a-half-year contract. Liefting, who has made 50 senior club appearances and represented the Netherlands at youth levels, was also named goalkeeper of the tournament at the Under-20 World Cup. Her addition follows the earlier signing of Naomi Girma and hints at Chelsea's ongoing ambition in women's football.
