Napoli have shown the strongest interest in Garnacho, looking to the Argentine to replace the departed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but saw an initial approach rejected by United.
Chelsea are understood to be not only tracking Garnacho, but also Borussia Dortmund winger Gittens, who is enjoying a fine individual season despite the Bundesliga giants' struggles.
The Telegraph report that United are willing to stand their ground in negotiations for Garnacho, who played the full 90 minutes of Thursday's 3-1 comeback win over Southampton.
Gittens has netted 11 goals in all competitions for Dortmund, including seven in the Bundesliga, and is another player who left Manchester City's academy as a 15-year-old.
