Brighton has turned down a bid of 8m from Napoli for midfielder Billy Gilmour. Napoli sees this as an initial approach and might come back with a better offer as they aim to secure a transfer deal.
Diego Gomez, a Paraguay international, is close to joining Brighton from Inter Miami. Gomez will be part of his country's Olympic squad, delaying his arrival at Brighton. A deal worth around $18m is nearing completion.
