Saif Alrubie accused Marina Granovskaia of lying about the transfer fee of player Kurt Zouma to avoid paying commission, depriving him of fees.
Alrubie denies committing an offence under the Malicious Communications Act 1988, claiming his email was to convey the threat of legal action for owed commissions.
Granovskaia stated in court that West Ham paid Chelsea 29m for Zouma, conflicting with the amount Alrubie believed he was owed.
During the trial, the judge repeatedly warned Alrubie about his manner of answering questions and instructed him to listen and answer properly during questioning.
