Woman Shot and Killed in Oakland Identified, Was Mother of Eight Confronting Alleged Drug Dealers

Maria Ramos, a mother of eight, was fatally shot in East Oakland after confronting alleged drug dealers suspected of selling drugs to her son.

Blanca Velasco, Ramos' mother, described the horrifying scene, stating, 'I left my car there, I ran to her, Velasco said. I was holding her in my arms. I told her to breathe. And she did. She tried really hard to breathe.'
