The pedestrian became trapped under the vehicle after an accident on Broadway, police wrote on Facebook. 'Their quick, selfless actions made all the difference and saved a life. Moments like these remind us of the strong community spirit we have in Somerville.'
'We didn't know if the guy was alive or anything under the car, so ... everybody started looking at each other like 'We got to move the car,'' Anderson Pacheco, one of the construction workers, told WHDH.
The crash occurred Thursday morning near a Gulf gas station at the intersection of Broadway and McGrath Highway, WHDH reported. The pedestrian was reportedly hit while crossing the street.
