"Seahorse Amphibious Vehicles has announced what it claims to be the world's first fully electric amphibious passenger vehicle. The vehicle will be operated by Big Bus Tours on a tour from London's Lack's Dock. The first all-electric model has completed both road and river testing and is r eady to enter service alongside the company's current fleets in Windsor and Liverpool in the UK, and Cape Town in South Africa."
"According to the British company, the new generation of Amphibious Passenger Vehicles (APVs) is the result of ten years of research and development, purpose-built to meet current UK maritime safety standards (MSN 1823) and the forthcoming ES-TRIN European regulations. Designed to carry 36 passengers and two crew members, the vehicle can operate for a full day on a single charge. Seahorse says it plans to scale production to 24 APVs per year within the next 12 months, from its 25,000-square-foot facilities in Slough and Southampton."
Seahorse Amphibious developed an all-electric Amphibious Passenger Vehicle (APV) after ten years of research and development to meet UK maritime safety standards (MSN 1823) and forthcoming ES-TRIN regulations. The APV carries 36 passengers and two crew members and can operate for a full day on a single charge. The first all-electric model completed both road and river testing and is set to operate from London's Lack's Dock on tours operated by Big Bus Tours. Seahorse plans to scale production to 24 APVs per year from its Slough and Southampton facilities and expects further city launches in 2026.
