Taking place on February 15, these demonstrations are fueled by public discontent towards Elon Musk's controversial decisions affecting government programs and agencies. Donovan emphasizes that accessibility to Tesla locations empowers citizens to voice their concerns locally. A new website, TeslaTakedown, facilitates the organization of these protests and encourages people to sell their Tesla stock or cars as a form of protest.
It struck me that there are Tesla dealerships and charging stations across the nation, and this is a point of leverage that many people can access, rather than having to go to your state capital.
Often, with these types of initiatives, it takes weeks to plan; in this case, we did it in a week. At the end of the day, the central organizer on this is the public.
