Tesla completed an underground tunnel at its Texas Gigafactory to transport Cybertrucks without drivers, connecting the factory expansion to the staging area.
The tunnel was planned before finalizing Cybertruck details; aimed to enhance truck transportation efficiency, supporting Tesla's goal for a faster method of transport.
The tunnel project cost remains undisclosed, but Tesla paid The Boring Company $200,000 in 2023 and $1 million through February 2024 for the development.
