Tesla Cybertruck Increased The Average EV Price In The U.S. In May
Briefly

Even though only about 3,000 were sold in May, the angular pickup played a big enough part to increase the average transaction price for all EVs in the United States by 3.1% last month compared to April.
Tesla's average transaction price jumped 3.1% month-over-month to $57,369, mainly due to the high average price of a new Cybertruck last month at $108,667.
All of this resulted in an ATP increase for the whole industry by 2.6% in May compared to April, with EV prices going down year-over-year by 4.1% when Tesla is not considered.
Battery-powered cars remain about 17% more expensive on average than gas-powered cars, but used EV prices are now lower. EVs with over 300 miles of range are available at prices below the industry average.
