Teenage girl dies after car enters water in Co Tipperary

A tragic single-vehicle collision occurred in Kilmoyler, Cahir, after 10pm when a car left the road at Kilaldry Bridge and entered the River Aherlow. The driver, a teenage girl and the sole occupant, was later recovered by emergency services and had her body moved to the mortuary for a post mortem. The L3101 road is currently closed for investigation, and Gardaí are urging anyone with witnesses or dash-cam footage from the area to assist in the ongoing investigation.
The body of the teenage girl, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, was recovered from the water this morning by members of the Garda Water Unit.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or been in the Kilmoyler to please contact them for information.
Anyone with camera footage while travelling on the L3101 or in the Kilmoyler area between 10pm and midnight last night is urged to assist investigating Gardaí.
