"Mountain View is where Caltrain riders coming from San Francisco can transfer to the VTA orange line to reach Levi's Stadium. The app will allow game goers to buy day passes good on Caltrain and VTA for a $27 round trip to the game. Guevarra stressed that regular Clipper users, or people who use contactless payment, should get the app because they anticipate long lines at the validation machines."
"And a hiccup that's going to be a major problem for a few bike commuters today: apparently, the Transportation Security Administration forced BikeLink to deactivate its lockers at the Mountain View station. For reasons that are unclear, they did it late Friday morning instead of Saturday night before the game. Rick Ednie, a technician with BikeLink, was busy deactivating the lockers at 10:30 a.m. A few had bikes in them. The owners, he said, won't be able to get their bikes until Monday."
VTA anticipates 25,000 riders on Sunday as people travel to the Super Bowl and urges riders to plan and use transit and the transit app. Mountain View connects Caltrain riders from San Francisco to the VTA orange line to reach Levi's Stadium. The app will allow game-goers to buy day passes valid on Caltrain and VTA for a $27 round trip. Regular Clipper users and contactless payers are urged to get the app because validation machines are expected to have long lines. Security measures will stop eastbound trains at Lick Mill with no through service past the stadium; a bus bridge will be provided. The TSA forced deactivation of BikeLink lockers at Mountain View late Friday morning, trapping some bikes until Monday; Caltrain's Dan Liberman said users were emailed, signage was not posted, and invited affected cyclists to contact LiebermanD@samtrans.com for assistance.
