Stellantis' AutoDrive Is 'Eyes-Off, Hands-Off' In Traffic For Jeep, Ram Drivers
Briefly

Stellantis has introduced its STLA AutoDrive 1.0, a Level 3 autonomous driving system that operates hands-off and eyes-off at speeds up to 37 mph. This innovative system is part of Stellantis's efforts to enhance its self-driving capabilities. Unlike typical Level 2 systems that are hands-off at higher speeds, STLA AutoDrive allows users to engage in other activities during lower-speed stop-and-go traffic. While these advanced systems are a promising step forward, drivers must always remain prepared to take control.
Helping drivers make the best use of their time is a priority, said Stellantis' Chief Engineering and Technology Officer Ned Curic, in a statement.
At speeds below 37 mph (60 km/h), the system will free up a driver's time to do other things during stop-and-go traffic.
The Level 3 eyes-off, hands-off system is designed to work up to 37 mph (60 km/h).
Stellantis says this is a scalable system that is ready to be implemented through the range of many brands.
