Scania to deliver 41 electric buses to Norway (bodied by Higer) - Sustainable Bus
"Scania announced plans to deliver its first fully electric city and suburban buses to Norway, with the fleet scheduled to enter service in Vestfold in summer 2026. The delivery marks the company's initial entry into the Norwegian e-bus market and supports Tide Buss's efforts to operate a zero-emission public transport network in the region. The order includes 41 two-axle buses, each 12.2 meters long, featuring 39 fixed seats, three foldable seats, and standing room."
"The buses will be built on Scania's modular electric bus platform, which allows customization to operational needs. Each vehicle will be powered by a 230 kW electric motor with a two-speed gearbox and draw energy from five battery packs totaling 520 kWh, four of which are mounted on the roof and one at the rear floor level. The Vestfold contract is part of Tide Buss's largest award to date, covering 11.2 million kilometers over ten years, with approximately 235 electric buses and 420 employees involved."
