Pedestrian (40s) killed after being knocked down by suspected joyriders in late-night Dublin hit-and-run
Briefly

Emergency services were subsequently alerted to reports of a pedestrian being struck by the stolen car on the coast road in Baldoyle. The victim, aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene but despite the best efforts of first responders he was pronounced dead a short time later.
One source said: 'At this stage it's believed the car was stolen purely to be rallied around by youths. It's happening every night of the week and now it has unfortunately resulted in a man losing his life'.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident and are asking for anyone with information or dash cam footage to come forward. The road was closed overnight to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
