Daimler Truck has manufactured and delivered over 2,500 units of the eCitaro electric bus since series production began in late 2018. The eCitaro integrates an electric drivetrain and modular battery systems, with its models ranging in length and battery capacity. The articulated eCitaro G can be equipped with up to seven battery packs. An innovative thermal management system significantly reduces energy use for heating and cooling. A hydrogen fuel cell version was introduced, enhancing the eCitaro's range capabilities through high-voltage batteries.
