New MOT test centre could be coming to Dagenham
Briefly

A planning application for Car Fixers garage in Dagenham proposes adding an MOT test centre and covered parking areas. This plan, submitted by Arfan Shahzad, aims to operate on an appointment basis, testing around seven vehicles daily without requiring external changes to the premises. While the existing site can accommodate parking, a formal objection was raised, highlighting concerns over noise and paint fumes affecting local residents, including a family with a child and dog.
The proposed MOT test centre would be positioned under the existing pitched roof structure and would provide one parking space for the main MOT testing bay (lift) and one parking space for brake/headlight testing.
The canopies would cover seven existing car parking spaces and provide protection to parked vehicles from the elements like rain and sun while they wait for work.
