mercedes-benz turns G-class into fully electric popemobile, in time for 2025 jubilee in rome
Briefly

Mercedes-Benz has transformed the traditional Popemobile into a fully electric G-Class, designed specifically for Pope Francis to enhance his public appearances, featuring customized seating and a unique open design.
The new Popemobile features a central single seat that can rotate, ensuring Pope Francis can address his audience from any angle while also being comfortable during his travels.
In a nod to traditional design, the revamped Popemobile has a removable hardtop to protect the Pope from inclement weather and incorporates a stylish pearl white finish with red carpeting.
Removals such as the B-pillar and the design adjustments to seating and door structure reflect Mercedes-Benz's commitment to both innovation and tradition in serving the Pope.
