Disney is moving forward with a fifth "Descendants" movie, featuring Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker returning as Princesses Red and Chloe. The new film will continue the storyline from "Descendants: The Rise of Red" and explore the implications of their time-traveling journey, primarily set in modern-day Wonderland. The narrative aims to unravel the true meaning of 'happily ever after' while addressing the consequences of tampering with time. The film is scheduled to be released in 2026, though the official title has yet to be revealed.
"I think it's time," said Cantrall. "Time for what?" Baker asked. "To head back to Auradon," Cantrall continued.
According to Disney, "the next chapter explores what 'happily ever after' is really like for Red and Chloe, following their return from their time-traveling adventures."
Set primarily in present-day Wonderland, the sequel delves into the warning at the end of the previous movie: 'There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time.'
