Kia EVs Will Get Tesla Supercharger Access Early Next Year
Briefly

Starting January 15, 2025, Kia EVs in the U.S. can access the Tesla Supercharger network, following similar agreements with Ford, Rivian, and GM.
Kia EV6 and EV9 owners who purchased vehicles from September 6, 2023, will receive an adapter for free, while earlier purchasers must pay for theirs.
Kia will sell three types of charging adapters: to fast-charge on Tesla Superchargers, to charge at CCS1 stalls, and to AC-charge on non-Tesla Level 2 chargers.
All Kia electric vehicles currently use the CCS1 plug, while the Tesla network predominantly utilizes the North American Charging Standard (NACS), raising adapter compatibility issues.
