Jetson ONE completed trials in Southern Poland for mountain rescue operations using two eVTOLs. These vehicles flew in difficult conditions, including crosswinds of 36 mph. The eVTOLs reached mountain summits rapidly, showcasing their potential for emergency responses in hard-to-reach areas. Jetson CEO noted that strategically placed eVTOLs could cover significant areas of rugged terrain. The trials were conducted with the support of the GOPR Polish Mountain Rescue Team and input from various rescue organizations for system evaluation and refinement. These operations underline the benefit of eVTOLs in emergencies, particularly in mountainous regions affected by natural disasters.
Jetson’s eVTOLs successfully flew in strong gusty conditions, reaching mountain summits in under four minutes, demonstrating their capability for mountain rescue operations.
In real-life scenarios, the Jetson ONE could cover areas up to 700 km², providing rapid assistance during natural disasters like floods and inaccessible terrains.
Tests conducted in Southern Poland showed Jetson's ability to operate from narrow spaces with a single pilot, highlighting the vehicle's versatility for emergency response.
Between seasons 2024 and 2025, there were 71 avalanche-related fatalities across Europe, emphasizing the need for innovative rescue technologies like eVTOLs.
