Jeep recalls 194,000 plug-in hybrids due to fire risks
Briefly

Stellantis has recalled approximately 194,000 Jeep plug-in hybrid SUVs due to a potential fire risk, advising owners to deplete battery charge levels and park away from structures.
The recall affects specific models, including the Jeep Wrangler 4xe from 2020 to 2024 and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe SUVs from 2022 to 2024, with a 5% defect estimate.
Despite the reported 13 fires occurring while parked and off, Stellantis has not yet required hybrid owners to bring their vehicles in for servicing.
The company asserts that a remedy is imminent, leading Jeep owners to temporarily refrain from recharging their vehicles and park them safely until further notice.
