I loved working under the hood of a car and realized I wanted to be a mechanic. I went to trade school in 2014 instead of grad school, facing opposition from family and encountering gender bias in the field.
I got the Tesla traineeship in 2017, which was a dream job. From day one, they took me seriously and gave me respect, unlike some of my previous experiences.
