The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt returns as a heavily updated, affordable electric hatchback priced at $28,995, making it the cheapest new EV in America. The model retains a familiar exterior while gaining contemporary GM batteries, improved DC fast-charging, an electric drive unit shared with the Equinox EV, modern safety equipment, and GM's Google Built-In operating system. The vehicle adopts a Tesla-style charging port and increases estimated range to about 255 miles. Production paused in 2023 but the updated Bolt is planned for sale early next year.
