Honda is ending U.S. production of the Acura ZDX electric crossover that General Motors was producing in Tennessee. The decision was made to better align the product portfolio with customer needs and market conditions. The ZDX has sold more than 19,000 units in North America since its May 2024 launch. Honda plans to introduce an all-electric Acura RSX produced in Ohio in the second half of 2026 and is developing hybrid-electric Acura models. Honda reduced EV investment plans by 30% through fiscal 2031 amid a slowdown in North American EV sales. A $7,500 U.S. EV tax credit expires September 30, and other automakers have also rolled back EV plans.
