Chinese EVs can now project entire MOVIES from their headlights
"Huawei's XPixel lighting features an 'open-air cinema' mode, allowing parked drivers to project movies from their in-car entertainment system onto any wall or screen in front of the vehicle."
"The headlights automatically adjust to weather conditions, enabling movie watching in rain or fog, and are expected to be adopted by many Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers."
"Tanya Sinclair, chief executive of Electric Vehicles UK, stated that the technology would 'echo the drive-in movie nostalgic feeling,' while Justin Lunny emphasized the shift from horsepower to imagination."
"In addition to projecting films, the headlights can beam messages like 'please go first' onto the road, enhancing communication with other drivers."
Huawei has introduced XPixel lighting with an 'open-air cinema' mode, allowing drivers to project movies from their headlights. These headlights feature a million pixels and adjust automatically to weather conditions. The technology is expected to be adopted by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers and will debut in the Aito M9 SUV. In addition to movie projection, the headlights can display messages on the road and adjust brightness based on driving conditions. A separate projection system allows passengers to watch films outside the vehicle.
